➨IAU-EWORA Joint Webinar -Date: Wednesday, 5 March 2025 (10:00-11:30 CET)

On March 5, 2025, in celebration of International Women’s Day, UN Women reiterated its call for Rights. Equality. Empowerment. In alignment with this message, the European Women Rectors Association (EWORA) and the International Association of Universities (IAU) hosted a powerful webinar on how higher education institutions can empower their staff to take action for Gender Equality.

The webinar explored crucial topics such as:

  • Teaching and Learning
  • Research
  • Campus Initiatives
  • Engagement with the Wider Community

Distinguished experts from across the globe shared their insights on policies, institutional approaches, universal challenges, and innovative strategies to promote collaboration, support for academics and staff, and foster interdisciplinary research and partnerships at the institutional level.

The session concluded with an engaging discussion and Q&A, where participants shared their views and experiences on advancing gender equality in higher education.

EWORA and IAU have been advocating for gender equality and equity in higher education for several years, and the IAU HESD Global Cluster, established in 2018, continues to connect universities with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
