Second LERU Gender Conference

The Second LERU Gender Conference takes place on 14-15 June 2018.

The conference will on the one hand serve to disseminate and discuss the recently launched LERU paper "Implicit bias in academia: a challenge to the meritocratic principle and to women's careers - and what to do about it" with a large audience representing various stakeholders, and on the other hand it will serve to explore and illuminate the phenomenon of bias and its effects on research-performing organizations and on the people within them.

Some of Europe's leading researchers in bias will speak at the conference, which also comprises other formats such as a panel discussion and an interactive theatre performance that shows how drama can drive institutional change. Moreover, conference participants have the opportunbity to present their own bias projects.
