Jeff Hearn is: Professor Emeritus, Management and Organisation, Hanken School of Economics, Finland; Senior Professor, Gender Studies, Örebro University, Sweden; Professor of Sociology, University of Huddersfield, UK; Professor Extraordinarius, Institute for Social and Health Sciences, University of South Africa; Fellow, Academy for the Social Sciences (UK); and honorary doctor in Social Sciences, Lund University, Sweden. He is co-chair, RINGS: International Research Association of Institutions of Advanced Gender Studies; comanaging editor of Routledge Advances in Feminist Studies and Intersectionality book series; co-editor, NORMA: the International Journal for Masculinity Studies. His current research focuses on gender, sexuality, violence, work, organisations, management, policy, and transnational processes. He has been involved in many European research projects, including CROME, CAHRV, genSET, GenPORT, as well as being co-author of the EC report, Gender and Excellence in the Making, 2004, and author of many texts on academia, education and ICTs.
