International Women’s Day 2020
This year’s theme for International Women’s Day (8 March) is, “I am Generation Equality: Realizing Women’s Rights”. One of the main objectives of EWORA is to empower the future generations of women leaders in academia. In accordance with this purpose, we are organizing a World Café Session for early-career female academics aspiring to leadership positions. The main aim of the World Café is to facilitate a dialogue between aspiring female academics and women currently in leadership positions in HEI.
The World Café Session will take place during the 2nd EWORA Workshop which will be hosted by the University of Valencia on 26/28 May 2020. We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to join us on this occasion. The keynote speeches of the event will be delivered by Ms. Alia El-Yassir, UN Women Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia and Teresa Fernández de la Vega, President, Spanish Council of State. Event Program and registration details can be found here: https://www.ewora.org/2ndworkshop-program
On this International Women’s Day, EWORA once again highlights the unbalanced representation of women at decision-making levels of academia and looks forward to working together for advancing gender equality in higher education and research for the future generations.
Wishing you a happy and peaceful 8th of March!
